I started reading “A short history of tractors in Ukrainian” by Marina Lewycka this weekend… its quite a laugh, nice to read something light and entertaining for a change.

The book actually has nothing to do with Ukranian tractors at all!  Talk about a misleading title…
Its about an 80 something year old guy that falls in love with and marries a 30 something year old Ukrainian woman and how his family deal with it… pretty funny because the daughters don’t take too well to the situation.

I reckon good for the old fella, if I was 80 odd (if I ever get that far…) years old I wouldn’t give a damn what people thought.  Imagine… you know you only have a few years left in you, your wife passed away two years ago, your children are all independent adults with their own lives… what would you do?

I say go for it… if you can?
