Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2009

It’s getting close to the Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2009, just over a week to go. Can’t wait to see the action Downunder!

I couldn’t remember what happened last year, phew… is my memory that bad? So I did some surfing on YouTube and found some great footage. Speaking of surfing – Australia is a great place to visit and do some surfing. Aussie Millions takes place in Melbourne, but there’s plenty of surfing and poker to be played up the Gold Coast.

Found this great video clip on the Aussie Millions, it’s one of many clips. This is a really great way to learn more about poker and up your game – by watching the pros in action!

  1. Who is the fat guy and where is he from? Jimmy whatever… How did he get into this poker tournament? Man just goes to show that anyone has a chance.

Did you see the cards he got?

Anyone know what has happened to him in the world of poker, since this tournament?

  2. Ah this video brings back memories. I went to Melbourne last year, awesome place! I couldn’t believe how much like Europe it is, with trams and all. It was my first time in Australia so I was expecting wrestling crocodiles in the streets and stuff…Crocodile Dundee etc.

We saw a few characters playing poker at the Crown Casino! But it was only when we went further up to the north eastern corner of Australia that we saw the real characters that look like Crocodile Dundee! And the animals or reptiles that go with it. Took in an amazing visit to the Australian Zoo… You just have to go there, Steve Erwin started something good.

The poker didn’t go to well, but we had fun. Cool to see some of the pros in action. I’ll go back.

  3. Joe Hachem – “The Godfather” is going to win the Aussie Millions poker tournament this year. I’ll put my money on it!
He has come so close every year that it has to be his turn this year.

I liked your video clip of the 2007 tournament, great to see how they play their hands! Wish I could be there this year.
